Houston ISD

I taught 4th grade Reading and Writing for three years at Davila Elementary School in Houston ISD. Over the three years, TAKS scores in Reading increased 42% and TAKS scores in Writing increased 59%. 

I also taught Kindergarten for one year. at Port Houston Elementary School in Houston ISD. That year, Stanford scores improved by 3 months from the previous year. 

For two years, I was a Special Education ARD Facilitator. I planned ARDs to meet deadlines, collaborated with teachers, administrators, other Special Education staff and parents to create IEPs for students. 

From 2012-2014, I worked at Sanchez Elementary School as a Teacher Specialist. In this position, I oversaw PLCs, completed teacher observations, and was in charge of all family night events at the campus. 

2012-2013 was the first year for the TAPR Report. That year we Met Standard and received two distinctions: ELA and Math. 

2013-2014 we Met Standard and received four distinctions: Math, Science, Student Progress and Closing the Achievement Gaps.
