District Literacy Specialist

As the District Literacy Specialist, I worked with all of the ELA teachers in the district--from Kindergarten to 12th grades. I created Team Leaders at each campus, and held district level PLCs with them to align the curriculum, learn about TEKS, create pacing calendars, and create lesson plans. I created the first online portal for teachers to use to gain access on the district website for all materials created, and scheduled and oversaw all professional development--30 in my last month!
